We send out a huge thank you to all of the students who donated items for today’s Garage Sale.  What fun it was to see all of our students making big decisions about what to buy.  All items sold for a dollar and at last count, the “students for change” made close to $500.00.  This money will go to buy one of J W Gerth’s new ‘Buddy Benches”-an idea developed by a group of students and Mr. Laythorpe.  The Buddy Bench will be placed on the school yard and if someone wants to find friends to join for a Nutrition Break, they just sit on the bench and others will come and invite them into their play.  School Council has also donated enough money to buy a second bench.  We are so grateful for the donations and we congratulate the group of students who put the planning into making this Garage Sale a huge success.  What a nice idea to help all of our J W Gerth Wolves find people to play with at breaks:)
