Congratulations to our JWG ECO Team!
This dedicated group of students have been working hard to make our school a “greener” place to learn. This year, their hard work has paid off in a big way! JW Gerth has been awarded $1500 to put towards a larger ECO initiative at school. Last year, several team members were researching the possibility of hand driers to replace the copious amounts of paper towels being used at our school. We are hoping to use the $1500 to purchase hand driers for JWG.
Past ECO team initiatives have included: the beginning of a butterfly garden at the front of the school, the implementation of the green bin program, the promotion of energy conservation at our school and the creation of a naturalized play space at the back of the school. We are looking forward to many more “greening” projects here at JWG.
Congratulations to all Wolves (and the greater Wolf community) for your hard work and dedication. Your actions are helping to make the world a better place.
