We truly appreciate the support of our school community, but we do have a few reminders for parents/guardians:

· Lates/Early Pick up

We ask that you try your very best to get your children to school on time and they enter the building with their cohort. The beginning of the day is an important time as routines and plans for the day are established in the classroom. If your child has an appointment either prior to the start of school or during the day, please email the attendance line at jwg-attendance@wrdsb.ca. This way we can pre-enter a late or ensure that your child is ready for early pick up with minimal interruption to the learning happening in the classroom.

· Labelling of student items/Dropping off of student items

Now that cooler weather has arrived and winter clothing is required, please label all of your child’s belongings. Many mitts/hats etc are being juggled as hand sanitizer is applied when they enter the building.

We also ask that you avoid bringing items to school for your child after the day has begun. If it is important, please send it with your child to school first thing in the morning. Please consider putting that extra pair of mitts in a zippered bag in their backpack. We will not be calling home for non-essential items. Please check the weather and dress your child appropriately and in layers. Please send their water bottle with them each day. We have water refilling stations here at school.

· Entering the school

Please be aware that parents/guardians are still not permitted to enter the building due to Covid-19 restrictions.
