Dear JWG families and caregivers,

Changes to Mode of Learning Requests

We continue to receive requests from parents and caregivers regarding a change to their child’s mode of learning.

To help ensure our families and students have the opportunity to access their chosen learning option as soon as possible, we are asking families to make their request for a change in their child’s mode of learning by Friday, September 25, 2020.

This date replaces the October 16 deadline originally communicated.

Students will transition to their new learning environment, in-person or distance learning by mid-October. In the meantime, we encourage our families to have their child continue to attend their in-person program or engage with their child’s classroom’s virtual learning environment and/or the WRDSB@Home portal.

Please note the New deadline for transition requests is 4pm Friday, September 25

Transition from In-Person to Distance Learning

For those families making a request for a transition to Distance Learning, the start date for your child to begin within a Distance Learning Classroom will be mid October. More details around this start date will be communicated to you.

If you wish to have your child transition from In-Person to Distance Learning, please contact the school and confirm this with our Head Secretary at jwg@wrdsb.ca, if you have not already done so. Parents making a new request will be asked to complete the Out of Boundary form found below.

Please complete the Boundary Form and return to the school by Friday, September 25 4pm.

Transition from Distance Learning to In-Person Learning

If you wish to have your child transition from Distance Learning to In Person Learning, please contact the school and confirm this with our Head Secretary at jwg@wrdsb.ca, if you have not already done so. We will work together to determine the best date to welcome your child(ren) back to our school.

Please note: The next opportunity for families to switch learning modes (after mid-October) will be February, 2021.
