JWG Kindness Club Bottle Drive
The Northern Birthday Box Project

Early in 2019, the JW Gerth Kindness Club is planning to spread kindness to Northern Canada. We want to help children in Northern Canadian locations celebrate their birthdays! Cake mixes, icing and birthday decorations are items that are either unavailable or extremely expensive in Northern Canadian communities. The Kindness club wants to bring birthday cheer to the North!

Through the amazing generosity of our school community and the 10 Days of Giving, we have already received many donations of cake mixes, icing and party decorations. We need more help. We now have to raise the money for postage to ship these boxes to each birthday child and are planning on a few fundraisers.

One of our postage fundraisers is a bottle drive early in the new year. Please save all of your empty beer, wine and spirit cans and bottles over the holidays! We will be accepting donations on Friday, January 11th. On this date, please bring your bottles to the school and leave them at the designated drop off area.

If you cannot make it to the school, email Mrs. Wilson (jennifer_wilson@wrdsb.ca) to arrange a date and time for home pick up.
