J.W. Gerth PS, and Extended Day Programs, will reopen on Thursday, July 3.

Families are invited to retrieve their belongings at the school, between the hours of 9:00am – 2:00pm, on July 3.

We are grateful to Kitchener Fire for their support, and keeping our school community safe!

J.W.  Gerth PS will remain closed tomorrow, as clean up continues to takes place at the school.

Extended Day (Before and After School) Programs are cancelled for Friday, June 27.

Families will be able to enter the school next week to collect belongings. Dates and times of when the school will be open will be communicated when available.

This afternoon, a small fire started in the electrical room at J.W. Gerth PS in Kitchener. The school was evacuated, and all staff and students exited the building safely.

School board staff are working closely with fire officials to determine when it will be appropriate for staff and students to return to the building and collect their belongings.
