Dear Wolves,

We hope that you are all well and learning to adapt to what has become our new normal right now. I want you to know that we miss seeing our amazing community each morning and miss your children. I came to the school Monday morning to ensure that everything was okay with the facility and waited to make sure no children arrived….. it was incredibly sad not to see the yard filled with children eager to return and tell their friends and their teachers about their March Break.
Your teachers are missing your children as well, and are busy working on what learning is going to look like for your child over the next little while. On that note, over the next week you will receive a phone call from your child’s homeroom teacher. (Please note that this will come from a blocked number!! Please answer 🙂
The goal of the telephone conversation is as follows:

1) Connecting with our students and families.
2) Completing a needs assessment.
3) Getting familiar with the Learn at Home portal

This Learn at Home portal is a work in progress and is going to be added to over time. It is by no means complete right now. This call is to connect with our families and students to let your children know that they are important to us, and that we are thinking about them. We are calling in an effort to better understand and support your child’s learning needs so that we can use that information to provide appropriate instruction in a way that is manageable given the circumstances.

Please make sure you are signed up for updates on our website and signed up for School Day. Through these online communication methods our Wolves can stay connected and not lose sight of the beautiful community that we have built together.

Stay healthy and safe,

Mr. Laurente
