Dear Parents,                                                                                             November 2018

The holiday concert on Thursday December 13 is approaching quickly, so here is some information for you!

We will open the front doors at 6 pm that evening so that performers can go to their meeting spots and you can get a seat in the gym. We don’t anticipate any seating issues as we will have the whole gym filled with chairs and our performing group numbers are smaller. Please consider walking, carpooling and parking on the side streets as the space in the parking lot is limited.

The meeting rooms for the performers are:

Gr. 4 Bucket drumming club: Room 4 with Mrs. Winterton and Mrs. Ernst

Gr. 5/6 Recorder club: Room 4 with Mrs. Ritchie

Junior choir: Pod 8 with Mrs. Ritchie and Mme Amorim

Primary choir: Room 10 with Mme Reay and Mrs. Lee

*If your child is in bucket drumming and Junior choir, they should go to room 4 first because the bucket drumming club is performing first.

Any parent singing in the Christmas canon mass number will be called up from where you are sitting to join the choirs at the end of the performance.

Your child is asked to wear bright (e.g. red, green, white, gold, silver) holiday colours and perhaps a Santa hat, a bow, antlers or something fun to show that the holidays are coming.

The concert will be short: about 45 min in length, so we ask you to remain for the entire concert so that there will be less disruption at the gym doors. You can meet your child after the concert in their meeting rooms. This is also where they should have left their coats etc. We will leave a space on the floor in front of the risers so that the performers can sit and watch all other performances. Please stay a few minutes after the concert to help stack chairs and dismantle the risers. We hope that you enjoy the concert and all of the hard work that your child has accomplished over the past few months of rehearsals!
